Long term consequences of poor sleep:
- Atherosclerosis in major arteries
- Reduced bone mass
- Cerebral function deterioration (brain fog)
- Skin and hair changes – possible thinner
- Vaginal changes (dryness)
- Bladder and bowel changes/irritable bowel
- Cardiovascular disease – after menopause incidence of heart attack raises in women to similar levels with men, but a reanalysis of a study found women beginning HRT near menopause had a significantly reduced risk of Coronary heart disease (CHD)
